Start a Christmas Tradition

Welcome to Green Needles Christmas Tree Farm.  We offer choose and cut Christmas trees, wreaths, and roping.  We have a variety of trees to choose from:  White Pine, Scotch Pine, Norway Spruce, and Canaan Fir.  Multiple sizes available (even a few beautiful 10+ trees).  Free hot drinks and plenty of family fun!  We are located in Bedford County which is very close to Lynchburg Virginia. 

In addition, we are members of the Virginia Christmas Tree Growers Association.

When we are not working on the Christmas trees, you will find us in our landscaping nursery which supports our landscaping and irrigation business (http://www.scenicideas.com/).  Be sure to ask about our potted Christmas trees if you are interested in buying a live one.

We open every Friday & Saturday starting on November 28th and ending on December 20th.
Hours of operation are the following:

Fridays:  10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Saturdays:  9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Address:  1175 Yew Tree Lane, Coleman Falls, VA  24536.  Just a few minutes outside Lynchburg.

From Lynchburg, take 501 North past the Eagle Eyrie Baptist Conference Center and turn left onto Shortcut Road (route 651).  Go about 1 mile to the T-intersection and turn left onto Rocky Mountain Road (Route 657).  About 1 mile later, you will cross an one-lane bridge.  Take the first right immediately after the bridge onto Yew Tree Lane. 

Thats it!  Just drive straight ahead and you will see us!

Preparing for Opening Day!

Tons of work has been put into the farm recently to prepare for the opening to the public.  Yesterday we setup the tire swing and a new pen for "Florence the Goat".  Florence is by far the friendliest goat that you will ever meet.  Florence is itching for the season opening!  Anyway...here are a couple of pictures after yesterday's work was finished:

Fresh Wreaths and Garland Available

Fresh wreaths are being made weekly from trees on our farm.  We will have several wreaths to choose from the first week throughout the end of the season.  If you have a special request or need a large quantity, please call or send us an e-mail ahead of time.  Most of our wreaths and garland are constructed from White Pine.  However, we can use other types of evergreens upon request.  Just let us know!

Services you can expect...

• Saws are available or we can cut the tree for you
• Final cutting of the trunk to ensure maximum preservation of the tree
• Blower is available upon request if you would like us to shed the tree of dead needles
• Tree netting
• Attachment to vehicle
